Intec have a range of unique lacquer formulations, ‘Toneseal’ and ‘Tonelac’ both optimised for thin film build, and acoustic transparency allowing timber to resonate naturally while providing a refined silky smooth protective finish.
TONELAC
Tonelac is a (NC) topcoat formulated specifically for acoustic wooden instruments. Tonelac provides excellent workability and recoating properties both for the novice and professional luthier. Tonelac finishes have good hardness and soft feel with that traditional vintage (NC) lacquered appearance and sound quality. The combined Toneseal/Tonelac finish has been designed to reduce overall film build thus minimising the reduction in natural timber resonance.
